Our Mission & Our Vision

OUR MISSION

OUR VISSION

The Heart and Soul of MondoBellissimo

Mai Yen — Founder & Owner

MondoBellissimo was born out of Yen’s personal love for clean, organic design and the slow, meditative process of working with raw glass and hand tools. What started as a small, quiet passion has grown into a cozy creative family. Yen continues to guide our design directions and handles our operations, ensuring that every design leaving our studio represents our gratitude and appreciation for the craft.

Our Story

A Humble Beginning in Vietnam

Our story began in a small, sun-drenched workshop in Hanoi, Vietnam. Captivated by how light shifts throughout the day, Yen began teaching herself the traditional stained glass method, using simple copper foil and glass cutters. Today, we are proud to ship our creations worldwide, from cozy family living rooms and quiet Airbnb spaces to boutique concept stores, every single piece is made with love by our small team of artisans right here in Vietnam.

Staying True to Honest Craft

Working with glass is a practice of patience. In a world increasingly filled with mass-produced, laser-cut plastic (acrylic) imitations, we choose to stay slow. We use 100% genuine stained glass that naturally catches and refracts light into beautiful, moving shadows. Genuine glass never fades, loses its luster, or peels, ensuring that your suncatcher is a lasting piece of art designed to bring joy to your window for many years to come.

Grateful Milestones

  • 100,000+ Global Orders: We are deeply humbled to have brought light and color into over 100,000 homes across more than 50 countries.
  • Etsy Star Seller: Thanks to the kindness of our community, we maintain a Star Seller badge, which inspires us to keep refining our craft and caring for our customers.
  • Supporting Local Hands: Our small workshop provides a supportive, fair-wage creative environment for local craftspeople in Hanoi, preserving the traditional art of stained glass assembly in our community.

Our 5-Step Handcrafted Process

Every piece we create goes through a meticulous hands-on process in our Hanoi workshop:

  • Receive & Design: We receive your order details and select the exact hand-drawn pattern mold for each unique piece.
  • Material Processing: We hand-select real glass sheets to match your chosen colors. Each piece is manually cut and carefully ground to ensure a tight, seamless fit.
  • Product Finishing: The glass is hand-wrapped in copper foil and soldered together with high-quality, lead-free solder, then thoroughly cleaned to let the glass shine.
  • Attaching Accessories: We add the matching accessories for your item, such as a hanging chain, wooden stand or plant stake.
  • Safe Packaging: Each artwork is securely packed with maximum protection to ensure safe delivery from Vietnam to your doorstep.

Our Core Values

  • Honest Craftsmanship: We use genuine stained glass, copper foil, and lead-free solder. We believe the subtle, natural variations within each sheet of glass are what make handmade art truly special.
  • Biophilic & Botanical Soul: Deeply inspired by nature, our suncatchers, wind chimes, and plant stakes celebrate leaves, birth flowers, and sky elements —inviting the soothing, healing energy of natural sunlight indoors.
  • Emotional Connections: From bright PRIDE flags to custom Pet Memorial "Rainbow Bridge" suncatchers , we strive to make meaningful pieces that serve as gentle tokens of love, memory, and comfort.
  • Humble & Sustainable: We reject fast-decaying plastics and synthetic materials. By choosing durable glass and mindful, low-waste packaging , we hope to promote a lifestyle of slow, intentional living.
